This year Team Spike is doing more
to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation!
Team Spike held its biggest fundraiser event ever on Tuesday June 9th at Trader Vic's in Palo Alto, California. 65 people attended the dinner, cocktail hour and silent auction event to raise funds and awareness for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Survivor Chris Gulker gave a memorable talk that was, as his wife Linda directed, 'witty, inspiring and brief' while showing his fantastic photo essay project, "N Judah".
A total of 35 items were auctioned off (resulting in several bidding wars!), almost 2,000 raffle tickets were sold and the event proceeds now total almost $7,000!!! We are continuing to receive double donations (another equal item donated if the highest bid is matched) so the number continues to rise. Thank you to Brooke Bryand Photography, Dave Forter and Eclectic Styling for stepping up to the plate - twice.
Team Spike would like to thank all of the attendees, the donors, sponsors and volunteers for making this event such a success. We'd especially like to thank our families and our friends for supporting us as we support this important cause.
